- If you did not choose powder coat in your order, you must coat the bumper prior to installation or rust will occur.
If this page shows "In stock, ready to ship", we have a batch of bumpers fully fabricated except for hoops and powder coat. Once you complete your order, we will complete the bumper based on your options and ship out in 2-5 weeks.

Tinkerer Design does not take back orders or advance reservations. All orders are taken on a first come first serve basis until the limited quantity is sold out. We do this to ensure the quality of our product, customer service, as well as a reasonable turn-around from payment to receiving goods.

On 2010+ models, the wind shield washer bottle will be exposed. A relocation is recommended, but not required.

Some international models, such as Australian and Middle Eastern FJ Cruisers, are equipped with power steering coolers. Additional modification is required to install the inner structure.

Hardcoat Anodizing (MIL-A-8625, Type III) is a highly wear resistant coating.
- Gray color is the natural appearance of this coating.
- Black color has nickel acetate seal for good UV resistance.
- Media blast + hi-temp outgas prep for optimal adhesion
- Epoxy zinc rich powder primer
- Textured weather resistant black top coat
- The top coat is applied when the zinc rich primer is baked to a pre-gelling state. Then the 2 layers are oven cured together for the best inter-layer bonding.
- This durable 2-layer coating system is highly resistant to rust spreading from a scratch to bare metal. Most typical single layer powder coat fail overtime due to rust spreading from underneath.

All winches require control box relocation. Typical control box mounting locations include in front of radiator, above main fuse box and behind main fuse box.
