Shipping Policy

Regular Shipping Policy

All in-stock items will be shipped in 1-3 business days.

Customers outside of the US are responsible for all import taxes and duty if incurred. Refer to your country's customs rules for details.

Regular Shipping Lost or Damage

It is the customers' responsibility to provide complete and correct shipping address and contact phone number. Lost orders due to failure to above will not be resent.

If the shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier, Tinkerer Design will resend the product free of charge from the customer.

Tinkerer Design is not responsible for stolen or missing packages if the carrier showed proof of delivery to the correct address.

It is the customers' responsibility to inspect the item upon reception. Please email info@tinkererdesign.com within 15 days from package delivery if the item is damaged. We will evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Freight Shipping Policy

Large items such as bumpers are shipped via freight.

Made to order products will have estimated lead time posted on the product pages.

Freight shipping can be picked up from a freight terminal or delivered to a commercial address equipped with loading dock or forklift.

Residential freight delivery is not recommended due to higher risk of damage and unexpected surcharges. However, if strongly desired, please email us for quote.

It is the customers' responsibility to ensure the freight can be successfully received. It is the customers' responsibility to proactively inform Tinkerer Design on any special delivery needs, such as operating hours or lift gate service. Any surcharge incurred due to receiving issues, such as redelivery or additional services will be charged to the customer.

If the shipment is confirmed lost by the carrier, Tinkerer Design will resend the product free of charge from the customer.

It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect the freight before signing and receiving. If by chance damage occurred, please do the following:

- If the damage was minor/repairable and you would rather take it as is, before signing, make sure to write down details of the damage on the delivery form, with the driver present. Take pictures of the damage. Failure to do so will void insurance eligibility. Email info@tinkererdesign.com to initiate an insurance claim. The claim money will be reimbursed to the customer after the claim process goes through. Typical insurance claim process takes 45-60 days.

- If the damage was major, take pictures of the freight. Refuse the delivery and do not sign the delivery form. Email info@tinkererdesign.com and we will take it from there.

Powder coat is susceptible to minor, DIY repairable damages during shipping. Tinkerer Design will assist insurance claim for these damages. However, the insurance eligibility is evaluated on a case by case basis and is not guaranteed. If you strongly detest the potential of minor powder coat damage, it is recommended to order in bare metal and powder coat the product locally.
